Jamie Lynn Spears Slams #FreeBritney Conspiracy Theorists

Jamie Lynn Spears is defending her older sister, Britney Spears, after mounting speculation about her decision to willingly enter a mental health facility recently. Britney checked herself in earlier this month in order to deal with stress over her father's serious health crisis. While many fans have supported Britney's decision to prioritize her mental health, a growing number of the pop star's followers are buying into a conspiracy theory that Britney is being held against her will in the facility.

The speculation reached a fever pitch when the hashtag #FreeBritney began to spread online. Some of the conspiracy theorists have even started protesting outside West Hollywood City Hall, demanding the pop star be "set free" from the facility where she's undergoing treatment.

Britney and her family have refrained from commenting on the conspiracy theory until now. After being relentlessly trolled online, though, Jamie Lynn decided to speak out and defend her sister. She shared a paparazzi video from ten years ago where she defended Britney from a woman shouting "nobody wants you in this neighborhood" alongside a lengthy caption.

"10 years ago, who was there??" she wrote. "I have been here long before anyone else and Iā€™ll be here long after. I love my sister with everything I have. So anyone or anything that speaks to the contrary can GTFOH with all the comments about what you donā€™t understand."

"Donā€™t come for me or the ones I love anymore. You can move the 'blank' outta here with all that, just like this other lady who was running her mouth," she added in a follow up tweet.

Britney is still in treatment, however she was spotted out and about on Easter Sunday (April 21) to spend time with her boyfriend Sam Asghari.
