Margot Robbie designed her production company's workspace with items featured in the Barbie movie.
The Wolf of Wall Street standout gave Architectural Digest a tour of her production company LuckyChap Entertainment's "mid-century minimal" office on Tuesday (May 27) alongside designer Scarlett Hessian and shouted out the 2023 blockbuster for furnishing the "central hub" in the hallway.
"[We] put the assistant desks in the middle so we could have a central hub and everyone could communicate more easily. The chairs are actually in the Barbie movie when you're in the Mattel CEO office, and all the Mattel guys are sitting around on the pink chairs."
In the movie, the chairs are bright pink, but Robbie had them reupholstered with a dark, checkered pattern.
"We just had them reupholstered because at the end of the movie — I mean, they were quite expensive, actually — I was like, 'Wait, what’s going to happen to these chairs?' And they're like classic office chairs, so I was like, 'Can we please get those?'"
Elsewhere in the tour, the Suicide Squad actress gave fans a look inside her office, her husband Tom Ackerely's office, and their partner, Josey McNamara's office. She also shone a bright spotlight on screening room decor brought in from Paris, a massive "pink-ish" conference table (also a nod to the success of the Barbie movie), and a fully functioning kitchen where people "make eggs for each other" in the morning.
