A federal judge has allowed a sexual harassment and retaliation lawsuit against Megan Thee Stallion to move forward. The suit was filed by Emelio Garcia, her former cameraman, who claims he faced a hostile work environment due to his sexual orientation.

Garcia, who is gay, alleges that while working with Megan Pete (Megan Thee Stallion), he experienced repeated mistreatment. One notable incident occurred in Ibiza in 2022, where the rapper allegedly engaged in a sexual act with another woman in a car while Garcia was present. The lawsuit also accuses Megan of trying to assault him with a remote control and making insulting remarks about his appearance, actions he says were targeted because of his sexuality.

US District Judge Gregory H. Woods ruled that Garcia provided enough evidence to support his claims, stating that the Ibiza incident “plausibly pleads” a hostile work environment based on sexual orientation.

Garcia further claims that after he spoke up about the incident, he faced retaliation, including reduced work hours, pay cuts, and eventually being fired. He also alleges he was blacklisted from future work in the industry.
