Looks like UConn’s secret to winning championships is teamwork on and off the court! Paige Bueckers, the Dallas Wings' 2025 No. 1 overall pick, has publicly confirmed her relationship with former UConn teammate Azzi Fudd.
During an interview with WAG Talk at the 2025 AT&T WNBA All-Star event yesterday (July 17), Bueckers was asked, "How well do you know your D1 girlfriend?" She accurately answered several personal questions about Fudd, including details about her high school, accolades, and even her phone case, which reads "Paige Bueckers' Girlfriend".
The couple's relationship had been speculated for some time, especially after Fudd was seen with the aforementioned phone case and the two were spotted holding hands at a Dallas Wings road game. Their appearance together at the 2025 ESPYs further fueled rumors, with Bueckers sharing a photo of Fudd on her Instagram Stories with heart-eyed emojis.
Fudd, a 23-year-old shooting guard for the UConn Huskies, made headlines for her strong comeback from an ACL injury, scoring a career-high 34 points in one game and helping her team achieve a national championship in her fourth season. Despite being eligible for the WNBA Draft, Fudd has chosen to return to UConn for one final season .
Fans have warmly received the news of their confirmed relationship, celebrating the couple's openness and support for each other.
