French Montana is officially off the market. The Morocco-born, Bronx-raised rapper revealed his engagement to Dubai royal Sheikha Mahra in a joint Instagram post shared on Friday (Aug. 29).
According to People, the proposal happened back in June during Paris Fashion Week, shortly after French made his runway debut for 3.PARADIS’ Spring/Summer 2026 show. TMZ first broke the news of their engagement.
In the announcement, the couple held hands as Mahra flashed her new ring — a dazzling 11.53-carat emerald-cut diamond custom-designed by celebrity jeweler Eric The Jeweler of Mavani & Co. The piece, valued at around $1.1 million, was described by French’s team as “an elegant and rare design, a perfect symbol of the couple’s unique love story.”
Wedding details have not yet been finalized, but representatives confirmed that both families are thrilled and supportive as plans move forward.
Romance rumors between Montana, 40, and Mahra, 31, first sparked in October 2024 when she shared photos of the rapper visiting the UAE. By this summer, the pair went public, appearing hand-in-hand at multiple Paris Fashion Week events.
Sheikha Mahra is the daughter of Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. She was previously married to Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum, with whom she shares a daughter. French Montana also has a 16-year-old son, Kruz.
The couple’s engagement has quickly become a headline-making moment, blending the worlds of hip-hop and royalty — and fans are already buzzing about their next chapter.
