The Rockingham-Harrisonburg SPCA (RHSPCA) will host a free Outdoor Cat Supply Distribution on Saturday, November 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the shelter located at 2170 Old Furnace Road in Harrisonburg.
The event will provide warming totes and winter-care supplies for outdoor cats, along with tips on safe sheltering, feeding, and keeping water accessible during freezing temperatures. RHSPCA staff will also share advice on choosing proper bedding, protecting cats from harsh weather, and answer questions about the organization’s Community Cat Program.
For those unable to attend, supplies can be picked up at the RHSPCA front desk from November 10–14 during regular business hours.
“With winter on the way, we want to make sure community cats stay warm, safe, and cared for,” said Madison Spiess, RHSPCA Development Associate. “This event is one way we continue to support the caregivers who help outdoor cats in our community.”
More details are available at RHSPCA’s Outdoor and Community Cats page.
