A$AP Rocky isn’t shying away from speculation surrounding “Stole Ya Flow,” a standout track from his newly released album Don’t Be Dumb. The song, which includes pointed lyrics referencing Rihanna, has been widely interpreted as a shot at Drake—an assumption Rocky says he fully expected.

Speaking on New York Times Popcast just ahead of the album’s release, Rocky acknowledged that listeners would quickly connect the dots. While he stopped short of explicitly naming Drake, he suggested the tension stems from relationships that shifted over time, describing former friends who grew resentful and began taking subtle jabs.

Rocky downplayed the idea of an active feud, explaining that there’s no urgency to resolve anything. When asked directly if the song targets Drake, he deflected, saying the meaning is up to whoever feels implicated.

“Stole Ya Flow” leaves little to the imagination lyrically. Rocky boasts about his relationship with Rihanna while mocking a rival for copying his style. Additional lines appear to reference Drake’s past work and recent diss culture, including nods fans believe allude to Drake’s hit “In My Feelings” and Metro Boomin’s viral “BBL Drizzy.”

Rocky and Drake once shared a close working relationship, collaborating on major hits earlier in their careers. But that bond has cooled over the years, with both artists making veiled remarks in music and interviews. Rocky has previously said he’s unconcerned with prolonged rap beefs, insisting his focus is elsewhere.

Representatives for both artists have been contacted for comment.
