FOX Sports reporters Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson broke their silence on their apparent trip with pop superstar Taylor Swift and her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce during the latest episode of their Calm Down podcast released on Monday (July 28).

“When the opportunity came about for all of us to spend time together and go on vacation, we were elated to have time with them, but also, just in general, see what she’s all about,” Thompson said of Swift, who has been dating Kelce since 2023. “She’s everything and more. Their lives are so public, so it was very important for Erin and I not to say anything — not because we don’t like to share stuff with you, but it’s important for us to let them dictate the narrative on things they do in their personal life.”

Thompson, who like Andrews has been friends with Kelce and a fan of Swift for years, described the singer as "a dream" and said the couple "make[s] each other happy."

Andrews then revealed why she and Thompson had previously kept their silence on the trip.

“We’re so protective of them and their privacy and what they deserve, so that’s why we never said anything or never planned on saying anything,” she said. “… I will say this, our group, the six of us, we had a time.”

Kelce shared a carousel of photos ahead of the Chiefs' return to training camp last week, which featured one of himself and Swift alongside Thompson and her boyfriend, Steven Cundari, and Andrews and her husband, two-time Stanley Cup champion Jared Stoll, during what appears to be a winter vacation.

Kelce famously revealed that he attempted to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number when he attended her concert at Arrowhead Stadium prior to their relationship in 2023. Swift later said that the three-time Super Bowl champion "very adorably put me on blast" when he acknowledged the situation on his podcast, which she said "was metal as hell" while being featured as Time Magazine's 'Person of the Year' in December 2023.

Kelce, who mulled retirement this past offseason, will return for his 13th NFL season months removed from the Chiefs falling short of what would've been the first Super Bowl three-peat in NFL history, having won three of the last five.
